About the Event

Intro to Qigong

Heather Rutkowski

Qigong is a gentle moving meditation. “Qi” means energy, and “gong” means “to work with.” Qigong is simply working with your body’s own energy and is one of the best ways to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Spring Forest Qigong has been developed to be a simple, effective system of movements and meditations that can be done anywhere, and by anyone, no matter your age, physical abilities, or beliefs. Help to manage and reduce stress, heal physical and emotional pain, and enhance the quality of your life.

Benefits:

-Increase oxygen uptake for stronger muscles

-Soothes your nervous system

-Improves your metabolism and digestion

-Aides in weight control, a youthful appearance, and balanced energy

-Gives your organs an “inner message” to retard the aging process by restoring them to healthy, optimal functioning

-Clears your mind for greater mental clarity

-Lubricates your joints for pain-free movement and greater flexibility

In this 90-minute Introduction to Qigong, come learn Spring Forest Qigong knowledge and skills that you can use to continually strengthen your health and well-being even after class.
